ENCINO, CA – A tragic high-speed crash occurred around 2:00 a.m. Friday on Victory Boulevard near White Oak Avenue, claiming the life of one driver and leaving behind a scene of destruction and unanswered questions. Authorities say a black sedan traveling at high speed slammed into a street fixture, causing the car to split into two pieces. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was found deceased near the wreckage. The crash ignited a fire, reportedly sparked by a ruptured gas tank, which engulfed parts of the scene in flames . Residents were jolted awake by the sound of the impact and flames. Ring doorbell footage captured a man approaching a nearby house asking for help moments after the crash. The man left the area before police arrived, and his connection to the incident remains under investigation. Authorities are exploring whether the crash may have involved street racing.
