A tragic incident unfolded in Missouri City last Tuesday evening when a collision involving a police vehicle and another car resulted in two fatalities and injuries. The incident occurred around 8:45 PM near 1655 Cartwright Avenue.
According to initial reports, Missouri City Police Department (MCPD) officers were responding to a robbery in progress when one of their units collided with a vehicle exiting the Dollar Tree parking lot. The occupants of the vehicle, believed to be a mother and her son, tragically lost their lives in the crash. Meanwhile, one officer who was in the patrol vehicle sustained injuries and was rushed to a local trauma center. As of now, there have been no updates on the officer’s condition.
The aftermath of the collision revealed a startling discovery during the investigation. Over two hours after the incident, authorities found a male individual in the back of the patrol vehicle. Emergency responders from Missouri City Fire Department (MCFD) provided medical assistance to the man before transporting him to a medical facility. His current condition remains unknown.
