HOUSTON, TX – A disturbing homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found shot to death in a Houston apartment late Tuesday night, June 17. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. at a residential complex located at 7355 McHenry Street. According to Houston Police Department officials, a male suspect and his girlfriend had been staying at the apartment when the suspect allegedly shot the woman and then sent graphic photos of her body to relatives. The relatives, horrified by the images, immediately contacted authorities.HPD officers responded to the scene and requested the assistance of the HPD SWAT team, who made entry into the unit. Inside, they discovered the female victim deceased from gunshot wounds. The male suspect was no longer at the location when officers arrived. The search for the suspect is ongoing, and the case is now being handled by HPD Homicide detectives. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and no additional details have been provided at this time.
