South Los Angeles, CA – On the evening of May 24, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., gunfire erupted near Dalton Avenue and Florence Avenue, leaving two people dead and one woman injured. Authorities say two suspects arrived in a silver SUV, which was later found crashed into a parked car on Halldale Avenue, just south of Florence. The shooting left three victims, two of whom were pronounced dead at the scene in an alley near Dalton and Florence. A third victim, a female, was transported with a gunshot wound to her arm. The suspects, both described as male and Black, fled on foot. One of the suspects is reported to be just 12 years old and was believed to be armed.K-9 units and an aerial unit were deployed in the active search for the suspects. At least one suspect was reportedly spotted from the air, and coordination with K-9 units was underway to apprehend him. SWAT also responded to assist in the search.
