In the early hours of Friday morning, a fire broke out at a Montebello residence located at 1409 Loma Road, prompting a swift response from local fire and police agencies. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. when Montebello Fire Department units arrived to find a Tesla vehicle engulfed in flames inside the home’s garage. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and visible fire from the garage area. Due to the intensity of the fire and limited access, crews were forced to cut a hole in the structure to gain entry. Once they breached the garage, massive flames erupted outward, briefly threatening adjacent structures. Despite the dramatic scene, firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly and prevent it from spreading further into the residence or nearby homes. Fortunately, the home’s occupants were not present at the time of the blaze. As a precaution, Montebello Police Department officers evacuated neighboring homes while fire crews worked to extinguish the fire and ensure there were no remaining hazards. No injuries were reported, and all nearby residents were able to return to their homes safely once the situation was under control.
