LONG BEACH, CA — A man was shot and killed just after midnight on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, near the intersection of Locust Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway, in proximity to the PCH Metro train platform. The Long Beach Police Department is investigating the incident as a homicide and searching for multiple suspects.First responders from the Long Beach Fire Department arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the victim. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. The shooting occurred along Pacific Coast Highway between Long Beach Boulevard and Locust Avenue. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing approximately four suspects fleeing the area on foot immediately after the gunfire erupted. Their identities remain unknown at this time . Heartbreaking scenes unfolded as the victim’s family, visibly distraught, spoke with officers and waited for more information. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
