According to authorities, the victim was traveling on the freeway when an unknown assailant fired a pellet round that struck him in the face.CHP officers responded to the scene and located the man bleeding from the facial area. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were cleared into the area and provided treatment for the non-life-threatening injury. Law enforcement officials have launched a search for a silver Toyota Camry believed to be connected to the incident. No arrests have been made, and a motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
