April 26, 2025 – Riverside, CA – Two teenagers were arrested late Saturday night after leading Riverside Police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle that ended in a crash near a freeway on-ramp. At approximately 11:35 p.m., Riverside Police officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle they had tracked near Columbia Avenue and the 215 Freeway. The car, reportedly stolen out of Corona, was occupied by a 17-year-old female driver and a 17-year-old male passenger. When officers initiated a traffic stop, the suspects failed to yield, sparking a high-speed pursuit that continued onto the 91 Freeway. The pursuit came to an end when the vehicle exited at Madison Street and attempted to re-enter the freeway via an on-ramp. At that point, the driver lost control and collided with a power box. Both juveniles were taken into custody at the scene and received medical attention for minor injuries before being formally arrested. According to Riverside Police Public Information Officer Ryan Railsback, the investigation remains ongoing.
