April 21, 2025 – Long Beach, CA – A single-vehicle crash late Monday night in Long Beach resulted in the death of one man and left two others seriously injured, according to the Long Beach Police Department. At approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of a rollover crash near Shoreline Drive and Ocean Boulevard. When officers arrived on the scene, they located an overturned 2005 Chevrolet sedan in the median, resting against a tree with three occupants trapped inside.Emergency crews from the Long Beach Fire Department worked to extricate all three individuals from the vehicle. Two occupants were transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The third occupant, a 19-year-old man from Van Nuys, was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary findings suggest the vehicle was traveling northbound on Shoreline Drive at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, veered off the roadway, and struck a tree. Authorities are investigating whether speed and impairment contributed to the collision.
