HOUSTON, TX – April 10, 2025 | 11:07 PM — A 19-year-old man was shot and killed late Thursday night while sitting inside his vehicle outside his family’s home in the 3500 block of N Macgregor Way, according to the Houston Police Department (HPD).Officers responded just after 11:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire outside the residence. Investigators say the teen had just arrived home and was still seated in the driver’s seat of his car when multiple shots were fired through the passenger window by an unknown suspect. The victim was struck several times. The young man’s family, who were inside the house at the time, heard the gunshots just outside their door. His father told investigators he saw a figure running from the area immediately following the shooting. Emergency crews arrived quickly, but the teen was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending family notification. At this time, the motive behind the attack remains unclear, and there is no suspect description. HPD’s Homicide Division has taken over the investigation and is reviewing nearby surveillance footage and speaking to witnesses.
