REDWOOD CITY, CA – April 6, 2025 | 2:54 PM — A startling crash occurred Saturday afternoon when a vehicle collided with a structure near the intersection of Center and El Camino Real, prompting a response from local emergency services. At approximately 2:54 p.m., firefighters and first responders arrived at 2460 El Camino Real, where they found a vehicle that had crashed into a building. The driver was already outside of the vehicle and, fortunately, was not injured in the incident. Fire crews quickly assessed the structural damage and worked to stabilize the building using wooden shoring to prevent further collapse or hazards. As a precaution, a building inspector was requested to evaluate the integrity of the structure. Additionally, PG&E was called in to inspect the building’s utilities, including gas and electricity lines, to ensure there were no immediate safety threats. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. No other injuries were reported, and it remains unclear whether the building was occupied at the time of the crash.
