South Los Angeles, CA — April 4, 2025, | midnight — A late-night collision involving an LAPD patrol car and a white sedan sent three people to the hospital early Friday morning in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of South Los Angeles. The crash occurred around midnight at the intersection of Century Boulevard and Figueroa Street. According to reports from the scene, the white sedan collided with the police vehicle, leaving the civilian driver temporarily trapped inside. The driver managed to exit through the passenger side before being evaluated by Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) paramedics and transported to the hospital. The two LAPD officers inside the patrol unit were also transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. It remains unclear if the officers were responding to an emergency call at the time of the crash. Witnesses stated that the patrol vehicle’s emergency lights were activated, but it’s uncertain whether they were on before or after the impact.
