Houston, TX – April 1, 2025 – 12:30 a.m. – A young child was caught in the crossfire of a violent shootout outside a Houston apartment complex early Tuesday morning.
Houston Police and Fire Department units responded to a shooting at the 13350 block of Northborough Drive just after midnight. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 6-year-old boy had been shot in the head inside his family’s apartment. Miraculously, the child was conscious and breathing when first responders arrived. Houston Fire Department medics transported the boy to Texas Children’s Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. According to police, a gunfight erupted in the parking lot of the complex and spilled out onto the street. Officers recovered numerous shell casings from multiple calibers, indicating at least two shooters were involved.
