Webster, TX – March 31, 2025 – 8:35 p.m. – A tragic shooting unfolded Monday night at the Cinemark theater located at 20915 Gulf Freeway in Webster, leaving two women dead and a man critically injured.
Webster Police and Fire Department, along with multiple outside agencies, responded to reports of shots fired at the movie theater around 8:35 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders found three individuals with gunshot wounds. Two female victims were transported to the hospital but sadly were pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. According to KHOU 11, the women were cousins. A male suspect, who reportedly turned the gun on himself in a failed suicide attempt, was also transported and remains in critical condition . Investigators believe this was a case of double murder and attempted suicide, though the motive has not yet been confirmed. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims or the suspect, and the investigation remains ongoing. Detectives are working to determine the relationship between the individuals and what led to the deadly shooting.
