The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) received multiple calls regarding a shooting outside a bar in the west division. Upon arrival, officers discovered that an estranged husband had shot his estranged wife’s current boyfriend in a grocery store parking lot nearby. The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body, was transported to a local trauma center in serious but stable condition. LBPD is actively investigating the incident, gathering witness statements, and reviewing video evidence from the area.

Prior to law school, Silvia enjoyed a successful career as a healthcare executive at a fortune 500 health insurance company. However, her successes left her unfulfilled. She wanted to use her education to make a difference in people’s lives. Specifically, to help the community she came from.

After law school, Silvia opened her own law practice dedicated to immigration law. She spent many years successfully fighting for immigrant rights in immigration court.
